Typically results last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and skin type. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and reduce density. Avoid shaving between appointments and schedule maintenance every four to six weeks for consistent smoothness and best results.

Most clients experience brief, manageable discomfort rather than sharp pain. Techniques like deep breathing, applying topical numbing cream prior to treatment, and an experienced therapist’s quick technique greatly reduce sensation. Pain lessens with repeated waxing sessions as skin adjusts.

Face waxing can be safe for sensitive or acne-prone skin when performed carefully. We perform a patch test, use gentle waxes, and avoid active inflamed lesions. If you have severe or cystic acne, consult your esthetician or dermatologist before booking.

Clean skin and proper hair length help. Avoid exfoliating or using retinoids within 48–72 hours of your appointment; hair should be about a quarter-inch long. Arrive makeup-free and avoid heavy creams to ensure the wax grips hair effectively.

Aftercare reduces irritation and promotes smooth results: avoid sun exposure, hot showers, saunas and heavy exercise for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers and exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Always apply SPF when outdoors.

Waxing can lead to ingrown hairs, but prevention is straightforward: exfoliate regularly, keep skin clean, use salicylic acid or glycolic acid products, and schedule consistent waxing to encourage upward growth. Treat stubborn ingrowns with warm compress and professional extraction.
